Rafi Groslick is a research affiliate at University of California, Davis, and a lecturer at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and Beit-Berl College. His areas of interest include sociology and anthropology of food and agriculture, globalization, consumption, popular culture, environmental sociology and Israeli society. His most recent research project deals with personalized nutrition, technology and human-microbes nexus. His articles were published in Journal of Consumer Culture; European Journal of Cultural Studies; Food, Culture and Society and Sociological Research Online among others. He is a co-editor of a special issue on food and power in the Middle East in Food, Culture & Society and a special issue on environment and society in Israel in Israeli Sociology. He is also the author of “Organic Food in Israel – Resistance, Assimilation and Global Culture” (Resling Press, 2017 [in Hebrew]), and “Globalizing Organic” (Forthcoming, State University of New York Press).
