Convener: Shayli Dor-Haim, Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael-Jewish National Fund (KKL-JNF), Israel
Adaptive forest management encompasses the deliberate planning and execution of management practices that are guided by a specific set of objectives, which are in agreement with ongoing forest research and monitoring activities. In this session, we will explore how insights gained from both short-term and long-term research projects have played a crucial role in promoting dryland afforestation and landscape restoration efforts, particularly focusing on the interactions among humans, visitors, and the natural environment.
