Ecohydrology in Drylands
Convener: Elli Groner, Dead Sea & Arava Center, and Avshalom Babad, Dead Sea & Arava Center
These sessions will include talks on how water regimes affect dryland ecosystems. Talks will include topics with a focus on floods, run-off and water budgets and talks with the focus on the ecology of water limited ecosystems. Amongst the abstracts will be issues dealing with climate change, desertification, agriculture, conservation and floods. We expect talks to be interdisciplinary with a mixture of scientists involved including: hydrologists, ecologists, climate scientists, geographers, agriculture and engineers.
