Agricultural workers face unique health risks from harsh environmental conditions: prolonged labor under extreme heat, exposure to pesticides, temporary and overcrowded housing often lacking adequate infrastructure, and limited healthcare services. This presentation will draw on empirical evidence from both qualitative and quantitative research to highlight the impact of these working and living conditions on workers’ physical and mental health. The case study of migrant agricultural workers will illustrate how environmental conditions, employment structures, and restricted rights intersect to create ongoing health vulnerabilities.
